Express trains from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur to
Kelantan terminate at Wakaf Bharu (Tel:09-719 6986) and Tumpat (Tel:09-725
7232). From these two points, visitors ca get to Kota Bahru by taxis or buses.
Stopover points en-route include Gua Musang, Kuala Krai, Tanah Merah and Pasir
Mas. From Pasir Mas, visitors can get to Rantau Panjang, the Malaysian town
bordering Thailand and Golok, the Thailand town on the other side of the border
by taxis or buses. |

By Driving |

From Kuala Lumpur, travel on the Karak Highway to
Kuantan in Pahang for about three hours. From Kuantan to Kelantan, it takes
about four hours to reach Kota Bahru. Along the highway, there are a few exit
points drivers can choose to reach Kota Bahru.

Exit points at Bentong will lead to Raub and Gua Musang.
The temerloh exit point will lead to Jerantut, benta and Gua Musang before
reaching Kota Bahru. |

From Penang, get to Grik to Sungai Petani in Kedah and
drive along the East-West Expressway to Jeli in Kelantan before reaching Kota
Bahru. |
